The Deal

Call them hobbies, quirks or minor obsessions. We all have something that makes us tick. Imagine finding a hotel whose raison d’être matches your interest. You might never go home again! To that end, we’ve gathered a global threesome of unique concept properties that have either recently opened their doors or are preparing to do so in Milwaukee, Liverpool and near Quebec City. Motorcycle enthusiasts, winter lovers and diehard Beatles fans get ready. Passion-pleasing packages start at $305/night per person.

Beatles-themed package in Liverpool
Been working like a dog? Perhaps a stay at the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool, England will make you feel all right. The Cavern Quarter boutique property is – you guessed it – a Beatles-inspired endeavor. Guests will get a glimpse of the heady days of Beatlemania with specially commissioned artwork throughout - including all 110 guestrooms, specially appointed Lennon and McCartney suites and a Beatles Information Center. Aficionados can book one of two packages for a full-on Fab Four experience. The Beatles Treat package includes luxury room accommodations for two nights for two people, breakfast daily, two tickets for both the Magical Mystery Tour and Beatles Story local attractions, plus two hotel t-shirts. Total coast is £350 (about $650).

Stay in Canada’s Hôtel de Glace
For anyone who’s ever had the fantasy of living in an igloo – here’s your chance, if only for a night! Made of almost entirely snow and ice – from the lobby to the beds, Hôtel de Glace, or Ice Hotel, is gearing up for the season and currently taking reservations for 2009. The 36-room winter wonderland, 30 minutes from Canada’s Quebec City will be open from January 4 to March 29. Guests booking the hotel’s Enchanting Discovery package for $324.50 CAD (about US$305) per person receive a complimentary welcome cocktail, served – naturally – on the rocks; an arctic sleeping bag, pillow and blanket for the night’s stay; access to the hot tubs and sauna; full breakfast buffet; a same-night reservation at the neighboring Duchesnay resort, in case the cold proves too much; and all gratuities.

Biker chic in Milwaukee
When was the last time you were in hog heaven? Can’t remember? We suggest you try Milwaukee’s Iron Horse Hotel. The factory/warehouse turned luxury boutique property, which opens in mid-September, was designed with motorcycle enthusiasts in mind. Guests will find amenities for the bike as well as the rider, such as covered parking with rag bins and motorcycle-washing stations, custom guestroom hooks for hanging heavy gear and benches for boots and helmets. For couples there’s Ride-in-Style special. Valid for a two-night stay for two people in a deluxe room and priced at $1000, the package includes spa treatments; in-room champagne and strawberries upon arrival; dinner for two; a packed saddle bag lunch; and complimentary motorcycle storage. Among the other freebies: skullcaps, sunscreen, lip balm and area maps.

The Dollars

While taxes are included in the Hard Days Night package prices, they’re extra for the Iron Horse and Hôtel de Glace. See other details above.

The Catch

You will have to go home eventually.
