Airports Cozumel International Airport (COZ), on the north side of San Miguel, is a 10-minute taxi ride from the center of town. Cancun International Airport (CUN) is on the mainland to the north; allow about two hours’ travel time (taxi and ferry) to reach Cozumel.
Airlines American, Continental, Delta, and U.S. Airways fly to Cozumel, as does Mexicana. Most major U.S. carriers, plus many budget airlines, serve Cancun.
Flight Times Connecting flights from San Francisco take about 7.5 hours; from Los Angeles, about 7 hours; from New York, 6.5 hours; and from Chicago, about 6 hours. Direct flights go from Minneapolis (4 hours); Atlanta and Charlotte (3 hours); and Dallas, Houston, and Miami (2.5 hours).
