Fort Lauderdale: When To Go

Peak Season: December to March The beaches are packed, hotel rates are higher, the restaurant wait times are long, but the sunny days and balmy nights outshine the weather in just about any other part of the country.

Off Season: June to September If you can cope with sweltering heat and afternoon showers, you'll be rewarded with less crowded beaches, fewer traffic jams, lower hotel prices, and more congenial locals.

Sweet Spot: April to May; October to November Perhaps the best time to visit: thin crowds and warm seas without the extreme humidity of summer. Just watch out for hurricane activity during the fall.
