Peak Season: July to September With an average summer temperature of 80 degrees, high humidity, and throngs of tourists, high season can seem like an endurance test. Accommodations and attractions fill up early so book well in advance.
Off Season: November to April Other than around the King’s birthday in January, low season offers the best hotel room deals. Forty-degree temperatures make it hard to enjoy that heart-shaped swimming pool, but you’ll escape lines at dinner and daytime distractions.
Sweet Spot: May; October By far the most pleasant months, May and October make up Memphis’ brief shoulder season. Temperatures are in the high 60s and tourist numbers are down, giving visitors more time to linger and see the sights.
